Jeonbuk Hyundai and Shanghai SIPG ended their first leg encounter in a 0-0 draw at the Shanghai Stadium on Aug. 23, which means that the ACL semifinals slot will be up for grabs for whoever wins this second match.

SIPG has the slight advantage as a draw with points on the board would mean that they will move on to the semis via away goals on aggregate, as per Yonhap News.

Dak Gong, who are still undefeated in 29 matches in the K League Classic this term with a 17-0-12 win-loss-draw record, will be looking to advance in the semis of Asia's premier club continental competitions since 2011. They had won the said tournament way back in 2006.

Head coach Choi Kang-hee's squad are well-rested heading into the match as he did not field in regular starters Kwoun Sun-tae, Kim Bo-kyung, and Lee Jae-sung in their domestic home game versus Jeonnam Dragons last Saturday while striker Lee Dong-gook only played 30 minutes during the said game.

Meanwhile, the Red Eagles will be without Brazilian striker Elkeson against Jeonbuk due to suspension, but newly-signed forward Hulk is coming off an injury to suit up for head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson's side in the match. Dario Conca is out for the season with a knee injury but Ivorian winger Jean Evrard Kouassi is available against the Koreans.

"We are in good shape," said Eriksson, via Ghana Soccernet. "We have been training well at the stadium and the atmosphere in the team is good. Elkeson is obviously a key player for us but we have a strong squad."

"We may have drawn but we played well. We can take confidence from that game and I think we are a more confident team now than we were ahead of the first leg. If we can play with confidence then we can win," the coach added.
