OnePlus 2 Smartphones Would Support VoLTE via OTA Update by Next Quarter

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced that it would be rolling out a system update for the OnePlus 2 smartphone in the next quarter this year.

According to OnePlus, this update will enable VoLTE support on the OnePlus 2 smartphone. The company also revealed that all OnePlus devices in India which include OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, OnePlus X, and OnePlus 3 would soon be getting this update. It would be available starting next quarter via an OTA update.

The OnePlus 2 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) LTPS IPS display screen protected by the third generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU. The device is available in two models - 3GB RAM/16GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM.

The OnePlus 2 sports a 13-megapixels main camera with f/2.0, laser autofocus, OIS, and dual-LED flash. On the front is a 5-megapixels shooter capable of video recordings up to 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box, coupled with OnePlus Oxygen 3.1.0 user interface laid on top. It is fueled by a non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery inside.   

Other features the device offers include 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS with A-GPS, USB v2.0, and Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. The device measure body dimension of 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.9 mm and weighs 175 grams.
