Leaked Antutu Benchmark Confirms That Xiaomi Mi 5S Will Come With Snapdragon 821 Chipset

The tech community was rather skeptical when rumors began surfacing that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5S would have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. Now, a leaked Antutu benchmark has confirmed the rumor as it shows that the Mi 5S would indeed run on the Snapdragon 821 SoC.

Aside from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, the leaked Antutu benchmark also shed some light on the other specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5S. Although the phone's screen size is yet to be revealed, the Antutu benchmark revealed that it would have a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. The leaked benchmark result also confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 5S would run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile operating system, according to Giz China.

There are a lot of speculations about the specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5S. The most common rumor is that the phone would have a 5.15-inch display, up to 6GB of memory, and 256GB of storage space. The Xiaomi Mi 5S is also expected to pack a 3490mAh battery pack, a 16-megapixel rear facing main camera, and an 8-megapixel front facing selfie shooter. There are also rumors that the Mi 5S would have a dual-camera configuration.

According to Phone Arena, the Xiaomi Mi 5S is also likely to sport Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology dubbed as Sense ID. Qualcomm's Sense ID fingerprint technology can recognize user fingerprints by employing ultrasonic waves and create a 3D model of it.
