Defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC (16-3-5, 53 points) will look to finish the 2016 Chinese Super League season strong as they face lowly club Liaoning Whowin FC (7-9-8, 29 points) at the Tianhe Stadium on Sunday, Sep. 18.

Guangzhou looks headed to its sixth straight Chinese Super League title as the team is still at the top spot of the current China top flight table, with 53 points and a goal difference of +31, with only six games remaining in the season.

Second-running squad Jiangsu Suning is six points behind the Southern China Tigers with 47 points and a goal difference of +19.

Head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's side snapped their three-game winless slide last Saturday with a 3-0 smashing of reeling contenders Hebei China Fortune on the road at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium, as per Xinhuanet.
