The technology is conventionally used in data transfer, and contactless or mobile payment methods. Through the use of NFC, the anticipated mobile unit from Bluboo can essentially be transformed into a mobile wallet, thus, getting rid of credit cards.

According to Giz China, the Bluboo Picasso 4G with NFC support is slated as a budget-friendly device and is expected to hit the entry level market.

It will reportedly have a 5-inch display with HD resolution, MediaTek MT6735 chipset with a quad-core processor, 2GB of memory, 16GB of storage space, 13-megapixel rear facing shooter and 8-megapixel sensor for snapping selfies.

The Bluboo Picasso 4G with NFC support is also expected to boast of a 2500mAh battery pack, as it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile operating system.

Despite the significant changes and upgrades which have been made under the hood, the upgraded Picasso model will still look exactly the same as its predecessor.

Bluboo has yet to confirm the official price and release date of the Picasso 4G with NFC support, although, many in the tech community believe that it will be released within the next few weeks.
