A recent trade scenario has been circling online involving a deal that could send the Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph to the Los Angeles Clippers for JJ Redick and Brandon Bass.

At 35 years old, Randolph is seen as a player who is in the final years of his professional career. His decline is set to be underlined this coming season as new Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale decided to relegate him to a bench role, according to Sportsrageous.

Fizdale said that he is planning to utilize a faster pace for his squad this season and Randolph would be an ill-fit for that kind of a system.

The demotion is seen by some analysts as the end of the Grizzlies' "Grit N' Grind" brand of basketball and Randolph could exit the team anytime soon.

Randolph is entering the final year of his deal with Memphis this season which will make him an unrestricted free agent next summer. This means that a trade may happen in or before the February deadline so the Grizzlies could avoid losing the two-time All-Star power forward for nothing in next year's free-agency period.

Fox Sports ranked Randolph as one of the top nine players that would most likely get traded in 2016-2017. Memphis is reportedly "moving on from the grit and grind style that essentially got them nowhere" and that former Michigan State standout "will be marginalized moving forward."

A trade with the Clippers has been suggested, which would bring starting shooting guard Reddick and substitute power forward Bass to the Grizzlies.

If Randolph is set to become a backup power forward, then the team might as well have someone who is a bench player and get a first-class talent as a bonus.

Reddick could thrive with Mike Conley as the team's starting backcourt since he also adds efficient outside shooting, something that Fizdale's system needs at the moment. Bass has been a reliable power forward backup in any team he plays and is expected to do the same for Memphis if they land him.

Meanwhile, Randolph will also play backup to Blake Griffin in LA and could boost the Clippers' second unit.
