There are NBA trade rumors claiming that DeMarcus Cousins is still on the Sacramento Kings' trading block, and the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are two of the top potential destinations for the All-Star center.

Cousins, 26, is entering his seventh season in the NBA, all with the Kings, and the club has never qualified for a playoff spot since he was drafted fifth overall in 2010.

Rumors abound that Sacramento is ready to rebuild and move on from the two-time NBA All-Star to try to return to their title-contending ways of the past.

The last time the Kings was in the playoffs was way back in the 2005-2006 season when they lost to San Antonio Spurs in the first round, 4-2. They were eliminated from postseason appearance in the past 10 years.

With that, a lot of rumors have linked Cousins to different teams since last summer, but according to several reports, the Lakers and Celtics are the top two teams in which the former Kentucky standout could possibly land.

Chat Sports Net indicated that Cousins is "unhappy" right now and wants out of Sacramento, as the club did not make any significant offseason moves to prepare them for a playoff run in the upcoming season.

Sacramento has a new head coach in Dave Joerger, but they lost starting point guard Rajon Rondo to the Chicago Bulls via free-agency.

The addition of rookie big men Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissière thru last June's draft also ignited speculations that the Kings may be preparing for a possible Cousins exit soon.

Cousins is again linked to the Lakers recently as the Hollywood squad is said to be ready to give up Julius Randle and Nick Young in exchange for the two-time All-NBA Second Teamer.

The trade package was a big drop in value from last summer's when the Lakers offered Randle, Jordan Clarkson and the second overall pick of the 2015 draft, D'Angelo Russell, to the Kings.

Meanwhile, Sportsrageous reported that Cousins could end up with the Celtics in a three-team trade as fellow disgruntled teammate Rudy Gay is moving to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The rumor suggests that Cousins and Ersan Ilyasova goes to the Celtics with Gay ending up with the Thunder. Sacramento then receives Amir Johnson, Marcus Smart, rookie Jaylen Brown, and Kyle Singler in return.

Cousins is expected to remain in the rumor mill until next year's February deadline, especially if the Sacramento Kings continue with their poor performance in the new season.
