The Phoenix Suns is rumored to be shopping point guard Brandon Knight, as the team is trying to balance its roster entering the new season later this month, the latest NBA trade rumors suggested.

Three teams are reportedly interested in acquiring the five-year veteran, namely the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and San Antonio Spurs.

Phoenix is in a predicament right now, as head coach Earl Watson has three starting caliber guards at his disposal, while the frontcourt is thin with talent. Knight, Eric Bledsoe and up-and-coming sophomore Devin Booker are crowding both backcourt positions and all three of them demand first-team time to move forward with their careers.

Reports said Phoenix is intending to make Booker the new face of the franchise, which meant either Bledsoe or Knight will have to go to give him enough playing time to continually develop.

After Watson announced that he is set to make Booker the team's starting shooting guard this upcoming season, speculations abound that Knight, who will be relegated to the bench, will soon be traded away, according to HNGN.

Morning News USA indicated that the Suns would be unwilling to pay $14 million per year for a backup combo guard and would rather spend that money on a one or two big men or a couple of experienced veterans.

At the moment, the Sixers is the best team that could provide the Suns what they need, as it has a surplus of young big men in their roster.

Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor are two young centers on Philly's trading block and either one of them, plus some deal sweeteners, would certainly persuade Phoenix to part ways with Knight.

The Mavericks does not have that much trade assets to offer the Suns and so a deal with them would be highly unlikely.

Meanwhile, there are NBA trade rumors which claimed that LaMarcus Aldridge is considering an exit from San Antonio and he could be the centerpiece of a blockbuster deal with Phoenix in mid-season.
