With its China debut, Red Arrows has now performed in 57 countries since its formation in 1965. Sqd Ldr Dave Montenegro, the leader of the RAF aerobatic team and pilot of Red 1, said that it was a privilege to "display in China." He added that the team is proud to showcase the best of British to an audience who were watching the live performance for the first time.

Red Arrows team has been facing some uncertainty about its long-term future. However, a statement released by Defense Secretary Sir Michael Fallon stated that the display team is unlikely to be disbanded in the near future. He also said that the Hawk jets used by the team would be replaced. However, he did not say which aircraft would replace the current Hawk jets.

Meanwhile, the Zhuhai Airshow in China has seen dazzling displays by various other aircraft as well. One of the most prominent display came from J-20 fighter jet, which made its public debut during the show. The stealth fighter can fly past a radar without being detected. Two of these jets performed a 60 seconds-long fly-by at the show.
