After a not-so-spectacular start to the season, the Golden State Warriors are currently meeting the expectations of many basketball enthusiasts and playing like a superteam.

The defending Western Conference champions demonstrated their superiority by routing the Denver Nuggets with a dominating 125-101 victory on Thursday at the Pepsi Center to claim their seventh win of the season in nine games played. The Warriors are currently the second top team in the west with only a half-game behind Los Angeles Clippers (7-1).

According to the official website of the NBA, the reigning back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry had a game-high 33 points including seven three-pointers in nearly 30 minutes of playing time. Klay Thompson finished with 19 points and went on a 3 for 4 shooting clip from beyond the arc while Kevin Durant had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Warriors.

Draymond Green chipped in 13 markers and nine boards, while veteran big man JaVale McGee contributed 10 points along with two blocked shots while playing for just 15 minutes on the hard wood.

"I was really just happy with the overall effort," Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game, according to SFGate."It was probably our best effort of the year, under the circumstances."

The Warriors are beginning to resemble the dominant team many had expected. Over their past two games, they have won by a combined 45 points. The Dubs' only losses were from the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors made their lineup more formidable by acquiring the former Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant in July.
