The Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics are reportedly interested in trading for Sixers center Nerlens Noel as Philadelphia is still looking for a trade partner to deal the young big man.

Noel and the Sixers have failed to reach a contract extension before the recent deadline, which led to lots of trade rumors mentioning the 22-year-old center.

Latest speculations reveal that the Raptors and Celtics are both targeting Noel, although it is not yet clear which one of the two clubs is talking with the Sixers right now.

Noel, the sixth overall pick of the 2013 draft, could have warranted a contract "in the $70 million range," according to Inquisitr, but he was not able to secure a new deal with Philly. The club is said to be "ready to move on" from Noel after Joel Embiid finally made his NBA debut.

At the moment, the Sixers have three young centers with All-Star potential in Noel, Embiid, and Jahlil Okafor, which is something that reportedly "worries" the former Kentucky standout.

"I think it's just silly... this situation that we are in now with three starting centers", Noel said during the Sixers media day in the preseason. "With the departure of Sam Hinkie, I would have figured that management would be able to get something done this summer."

His comments said to have made team president and general manager Bryan Colangelo decide that Noel is the odd-man out of their three centers, thus opting not to give him an extension.

Toronto is said to be intending to boost their frontcourt depth after losing Luis Scola and Bismack Biyombo in free-agency during the summer and Noel is one of their primary targets, according to CBS Sports.

The Raptors are left with rookie Pascal Siakam and veteran backup big man Patrick Patterson as their only options at the power forward spot as new acquisition Jared Sullinger is out with an injury.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are also short on big men with Al Horford and Jae Crowder both sidelined by separate injuries as well.
