Rapper Nick Cannon believes that Planned Parenthood is committing "real genocide" against the African-American community.

In an interview where he was asked about growing fears that President-elect Donald Trump will try and put a stop to women's abortion rights, the rapper replied by saying that Planned Parenthood "was not designed for our people."

"Everybody- Hillary was sneaking and cheating. Think about all the stuff they did with Planned Parenthood and that type of stuff. That stuff is to make our community forget gentrification," Cannon said.

"Its real genocide and it has been that way for years," he added, saying that the system was never built to favor black people.

In 2005, Cannon made a bold statement on his anti-abortion stance when he released his single 'Can I Live'. The song's video tells the incredible story of how his mother nearly aborted him before she had a change of heart.

Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, who was a racist and Eugenist. In her own words, her mission was to "stop biologically unfit" persons from siring children. She also confessed that she wanted to "exterminate the negro population."

"We do not want word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population ..." Sanger wrote in a letter dated from 1939.

According to statistics, more than 850 African-Americans die in abortion clinics due to Planned Parenthood. Of all abortions, 37 percent are carried out by African-Americans. This is despite the fact that African-Americans represent only 13 percent of the population.

Nick Cannon has two children with ex-wife Mariah Carey. He is also expecting another child with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell.

He famously refused to participate in national elections until "black lives matter," saying that neither a Trump nor Clinton victory would change things.

"You can't vote your way out of oppression," he said.
