The late "Star Wars" legend Carrie Fisher's mom Debbie Reynolds passed away, just a day after her daughter died.

The 84-year-old veteran actress' death comes after suffering a stroke, which was reportedly triggered by her own daughter Carrie's very recent death. As it was widely reported, Fisher, who rose to fame as the one and only Princess Leia, died of complications from her massive heart attack while on a flight to Los Angeles five days earlier.

Reynolds seemed to be stable and was even able to release a statement about her daughter's death, in which she said, "Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother."

It seems she wasn't, after all. Just hours later, her son Todd Fisher reportedly made a 911 call from his Beverly Hills home. Paramedics rushed to his residence and his 84-year-old mom was driven by an ambulance to the nearest emergency room.

According to TMZ, Reynolds' heartbreaking last words were, "I want to be with Carrie." She died at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she was admitted.

Reynolds rose to fame following her breakout role in the 1952 musical, Singin' In The Rain. Aside from being a multiple award-nominated actress, she had her own TV series, The Debbie Reynolds Show, and appeared in many sitcoms like Will & Grace.

In 2013, she was awarded the Life Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild. And just last year, she received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy Awards.
