Chinese Basketball Association Round 24: Xinjiang Flying Tigers Rout Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey King

The third-ranked team of Xinjiang Flying Tigers got the better of the Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey King with a 104-89 victory in the 24th round of the Chinese Basketball Association on Sunday evening.

According to EuroBasket, foreign reinforcement Darius Adams poured in team-high 25 points to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals to lead the Flying Tigers to another win. The CBA's sixth leading scorer went 8-16 from the two-point range and connected three three-pointers while playing for a solid 35 minutes.

Former NBA player Andray Blatche added with 21 markers and a rebound short in registering another double-double game performance for the Flying Tigers, who outrebounded the opposing team with a 53-43 advantage.

NBA recruit Zhou Qi finished the game with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Chinese teammates Tonglin Sun and Gen Li chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the winning team, who will be facing the team of the Jiangsu Dragons in the next round on Wednesday.

American import Jared Cunningham paced Jiangsu Tongxi with game-high 31 points, while JianYe Song had 18 markers.

With the victory, the Flying Tigers has now improved to a better 19-5 win-loss card and is currently tied with the Liaoning Flying Leopards for the third and fourth place in league's team standing.

Basing from the match result in the website of NowGoal, the winning team had a slow start as they were outscored by the Monkey Kings with a 22-17 run during the opening period. In the second quarter, the Flying Tigers staged a 34-15 run to cap the first half leading by 14 points, 51-37.

In the third period, Xinjiang continued to pound Jiangsu Tongxi with a 33-26 charge to enter the final quarter carrying a comfortable 21-point advantage, 84-53.

In the fourth period, the Flying Tigers were able to protect their lead and limit the point production of the opposing team to seal the win.
