The Los Angeles Lakers got the better of the visiting Memphis Grizzlies with a 116-102 win at the Staples Center on Tuesday evening.

According to a published report of the ESPN, starting shooting guard Nick Young poured in team-high 20 points, while point guard D'Angelo Russell contributed with 18 markers. Both keyed an early barrage of 3-pointers that paved way for the Lakers to avenge their 103-100 defeat over the Grizzlies last Dec. 4.

Power forward Julius Randle finished the match with an impressive triple-double game performance for Los Angeles with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists, while Jordan Clarkson had 16 markers, including three three-pointers and seven boards coming off the bench.

The Lakers shot the lights out in the first three quarters of the ball game hitting a season-high 17 successful connections from beyond the arc region. The winning team went on a 17-33 shooting from the three-point marker for a decent 51.5 percent average, with Young and Russell sinking six treys apiece.

Spanish big man Marc Gasol paced Grizzlies with game-high 22 points, seven assists, and six rebounds, while starting point guard Mike Conley added with 21 points.

According to the official website of the NBA, the victory was the Lakers 13th win of the season in 38 games played. The Luke Walton-headed squad has improved their home game record to 8-10 and has won three of the last 10 matches contested.

"When shooters get hot, a good offense is going to beat a good defense," Lakers head coach Walton said after the game.

The Grizzlies rank among the league's top defensive team. They are tied with Utah for allowing the lowest field goal percentage in the league and are second to the Jazz in points allowed (97.6 per game), but it was not enough to win the game with the Lakers having a great shooting night.

The Lakers had 34 assists, outrebounded the Robert Pera-owned team 43-39, and held the Grizzlies to a 39 percent shooting while winning for only the third time in 18 meetings.
