Lenovo Officially Unveils the MIIX 720 12-inch Windows Tablet

Lenovo has already announced the latest upgraded ThinkPad lineup computers earlier this week. Aside from these, the company also unveiled the successor to its MIIX 700 tablet dubbed as the Lenovo MIIX 720 12-inch Windows tablet.

The new Lenovo MIIX 720 windows tablet offers quite a few nice changes on its hardware specifications and also a price bump over the predecessor. The device is said to compete with Microsoft's upcoming Surface tablet.

As for the specification, the Lenovo MIIX 720 Windows tablet features a wide 12-inch display screen with a pixel resolution of 2880 x 1920 3:2 panel and an impressive 288 pixels per inch. The screen is protected by Corning Grass Protection and has rated the display at 400 nits brightness. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by an Intel Core i7-7500U CPU and HD 620 GPU for the graphics.

The Lenovo MIIX 720 tablet is run on Microsoft's latest Windows 10 operating system. It has a massive 16GB of DDR4 memory onboard and a 1TB of PCIe native storage inside. Other features the tablet offers include 3 x USB ports, 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1 x USB 3.0, and 1 x USB 2.0 port.

The battery of the MIIX 720 is 41 Wh, which was rated by Lenovo to have up to 8 hours of battery life. The Windows tablet device measures a body dimension the same as its predecessor, which is 292 x 210 x 8.9 mm and weighs around 780 grams.

The new Lenovo MIIX 720 Windows tablet comes in Iron Gray and Champagne Gold colors. It will be available beginning in April 2017 for the price of around $999.99.
