After a minimal game exposure and an elusive steady career in the NBA, the former BYU Cougars' star player Jimmer Fredette is now making a name of his own in the biggest and preeminent professional basketball league in China.

Fredette, who played in four different teams in the NBA in a span of four seasons, took his basketball talent overseas and is now playing for the former Houston Rockets' All-Star Chinese center Yao Ming's Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

According to a published article of Stack, the 2011 NBA Draft 10th overall pick has been dominating the Chinese league and currently leads the CBA in scoring with 38.4 points per contest while shooting with an impressive 41.0 percent accuracy from beyond the arc area. Fredette is incredibly shooting in far distance and scoring with ease just like in his old good days with the Cougars.

The 27-year-old native of Glens Falls, New York, leads the Sharks in assists with an average of 4.7 assist per game. The 6-foot-2 veteran American point guard has led Shanghai to a CBA-best 21-4 win-loss record in his first stint with the ballclub and with the season halfway through, his team remains the top candidate to enter the finals this season.

According to The Post Star, Fredette had announced a new partnership to have his own custom sneakers built by 361°, a huge Chinese shoe company based in Jinjiang, Fujian. The former NBA journeyman wore red ones for the all-star game matching with the South Team's uniform, but his regular-season shoes will be blue and have his No. 32 on the back to complement the Sharks' colors.

Recently, in addition to his prolific scoring, Fredette won the Three-Point Shooting Contest in the 2017 CBA All-Star that was held last Sunday in Beijing. He also ended the basketball festivity as the leading scorer with 32 points, including six connections from the three-point area.
