Watford captain Troy Deeney would consider following former teammate and fellow striker Odion Ighalo to the Chinese Super League if given the "right offer", according to latest football transfer rumors.

Deeney, 28, has been with the Hertfordshire outfit since the summer of 2010 when he was acquired from Football League One club Walsall FC for an undisclosed fee. He helped the Hornets get promoted to the Premier League in the 2015-2016 season, scoring 21 goals in 43 games in all competitions during the previous term.

He is now in his seventh season with the Hornets and is one of the greatest goalscorers in club history, having scored a total of 102 goals in 289 appearances in all competitions so far. Deeney said that he has no "hard feelings" towards Ighalo and he himself "would consider" a move to the Far East "if the right offer comes his way", the Mirror reported.

With the massive contracts being offered by CSL squads, the Birmingham native said that it is "tempting" for players to join the Chinese football revolution. Deeney and Ighalo have been striking partners in the English top flight for the past season-and-a-half and has led the team to a 13th-place finish last term, enough for them to remain in the Premier League this season.

Ighalo joined Chinese Super League squad Changchun Yatai this week for a transfer fee of $25 million, signing a multi-year deal that would earn him more than $250,000 per week in wages, as per Daily Mail Online.

"I've got the missus and two kids to feed and if they're going to throw that stupid money around I think everyone will definitely look at it," Deeney recently told reporters when asked about a potential China switch. "Anyone who does it won't be getting any hard feelings from me - fair play to them," Deeney said.

Watford is currently 13th in the Premier League table with 27 points, eight points above the bottom three relegation zone with 15 rounds left in the season.
