Jiangsu Suning FC (0-1-0, 0 points) and Tianjin Teda FC (0-1-0, 0 points) will both try to rebound from their opening round losses in the 2017 Chinese Super League season as they face each other at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on Friday, March 10.

Jiangsu opened their season with a disastrous 0-4 defeat at the hands of a Carlos Tevez-led Shanghai Shenhua squad on the road at the Hongkou Stadium on Sunday, as per ESPN.

Tevez had a goal and two assists during the match while Shenhua captain Giovanni Moreno scored two goals. Tevez assisted on Moreno's opening goal in the 17th minute before he buried a penalty kick in the 36th. Mao Jianqing made it a 3-0 count at the 79th before Moreno netted a second goal in the 86th.

It was a demoralizing opener for head coach Choi Yong-soo's side, who missed the services of former Chelsea star Ramires in the match due to injury. To make matters worse, their other Brazilian import, winger Alex Teixeira, was sent off in injury time, which will ban him in this game versus Tianjin Teda. Meanwhile, Teda is also coming off a 0-2 loss to Shandong Luneng in their own season-opener last Saturday on the road at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium, Goal reported.

Shandong scored two late goals, courtesy of Liu Binbin and Senegalese import Papiss Cisse in the 78th and 82nd minutes to snatch away the victory from head coach Jaime Pacheco's squad. It was a disappointing debut for another former Chelsea standout, Nigeria international John Obi Mikel.

The predicted result is a 2-1 bounce back win for Jiangsu Suning. Jiangsu Suning starting lineup (5-3-2 formation): Gu; Tao, Yang B., Hong, Zhou, Yang X.; Gao, Zhang, Wu; Martinez, Ramires. Tianjin Teda starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Du; Bai, Hwang, Pan, Mirahmetjan; Obi Mikel, Gudelj; Wang Q., Wang D., Hui; Liyu
