A new multiple launch rocket system now in service with the United Arab Emirates Army can launch 240 unguided 122 mm artillery rockets, making it the world's most heavily armed rocket artillery system by tube count.

The wheeled Jobaria Defense Systems "Multiple Cradle Launcher" (MCR) is a real monster (jobaria is Arabic for the word monster), and gives the UAE Army the ability to saturate a target with a stupendous artillery barrage.

The system fires Roketsan 122 mm TR- 122 rockets fitted with high-explosive warheads detonated by either a point detonating fuze or a proximity fuze. The system operator can choose how many and which pods to fire.

Jobaria MCR can fire two rockets per second to an effective range of 16 km and to a maximum range of 37 km. All 240 rockets fired from a Jobaria MCR can saturate an area of four square kilometers with high explosive destruction. All 240 rockets can be fired in less than two minutes.

Jobaria MCR was developed in by the UAE in cooperation with Roketsan, a weapons maker and defense contractor owned by the Turkish Armed Forces. Roketsan developed the MCR's 122 mm rockets.

The Jobaria MCR system consists of an Oshkosh Global HET 6x6 heavy equipment transporter towing a 10-wheeled semi-trailer with 4 power-operated rocket launchers. Each launcher has three pods with 20 rockets each, giving MCR a total capacity of 240 rockets.

Jobaria MCR can also launch rockets of other calibers. There are reports the system can also unleash 240 107 mm Roketsan rockets to a maximum range of 11 km. It can also launch 16 TR-300 300 mm artillery rockets (also from Roketsan) to a maximum range of 100 km.

This artillery rocket system is operated by a crew of three that fire the rockets from a protected cab. The cab has an NBC protection system and also protects the crew from small arms fire and artillery shell splinters.

The truck for this rocket system is built by Oshkosh Defense, an American tactical vehicle manufacturer that designs, builds and sustains high performance defense trucks, including the U.S. Army's new Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) that's replacing the Humvee.
