Although the meeting between the presidents of two of the most powerful nations in the world, China and the United States, was said to have been indifferent, the song performance of US President Donald Trump's granddaughter, Arabella, in front of China President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan definitely lightened the tense political rivalry between the two said countries.

A video of 5-year-old Arabella's performance was uploaded online by her mother, Ivanka Trump, last week, a few days after Xi's visit to Florida. The video showed Arabella singing the popular Chinese folk song "Mo Li Hua" in the presence of China's President and some other dignitaries. The video has gone viral overnight and received hundreds of thousands of likes.

After Arabella's performance, her younger brother Joseph, who is 3-year-old, is said to have recited a Chinese classical poetry material titled "Three Character Classic." China's first lady, Peng, was reportedly impressed with both children, as she is a famous folk singer in China and an avid enthusiast of Chinese folk arts.

The video started off with a welcoming Ivanka Trump saying that she wanted to make China's first couple "feel at home." The meeting took place in Donald Trump's elegant Mar-a-Lago holiday resort. Many were impressed by Ivanka's seemingly softer and friendlier approach to establishing a good working relationship with China.

In February, Ivanka also took Arabella to the Chinese Embassy to join Chinese officials in the celebration of Spring Festival. This was taken by many as a preparation for Arabella to take on a role as an ambassador of the US to China in the future.
