With 20 hours left right before the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) card in Japan, heavyweight Mark Hunt is still 19 pounds over the weight limit.

Hunt will be having a war with Roy "Big Country" Nelson in Japan's legendary Saitama Super Arena. However, he is still overweight for his main event bout. The prescribed weight for the heavyweight division is between 205 to 265 pounds.

Hunt reported that at the start of his camp, 85 pounds overweight at 340 pounds. A day right before the official weigh-ins, his weight was at 284 pounds. He has less than a day to lose the excess pounds and make weight.

Should Hunt miss weight, 20 percent of his fight purse will automatically go to Nelson. Nelson will also be given the option to decline the fight, but will not be paid if he doesn't accept it.

Losing weight has also had heavier implications in the UFC.

Light heavyweight prospect, Anthony "Rumble" Johnson, lost weight a number of times earlier in his UFC career when he was still fighting at welterweight. He was cut from the organization and had to string together wins outside the UFC.

It is unlikely though that Hunt will get cut, as his last fight was a fight of the night candidate against fellow heavyweight, Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva. Hunt weighed 262 for that fight.

The two fighters traded blows for five whole rounds and ended in a dramatic draw. Their bout was fight of the night, but was overturned due to Silva failing the drug test.

After his upcoming fight, Hunt has stated his desire for a rematch with Junior Dos Santos, whom he lost to early in 2013.

The card in Japan - UFC Fight Night 52 - also features bouts between female bantamweights, Miesha Tate and Rin Nakai.
