TV Personality and Rock Musician Yoon Do-hyun has returned onstage to introduce his first solo album in five years.

Yoon Do-hyun, the lead singer of rock band YB, decided to return to his music roots to play folk music for his new album.

He showcased his new solo EP, "Singing Yoon Do-hyun",  at the YES24 Muv Hall in the Hongdae Area in Seoul last Sept. 16. The rocker admits feeling jittery about the release as this is a solo album and that he is into a new genre.

Putting aside his electric guitar and opting for an acoustic one, he is more into ballad this time. The newly released five-track EP features two lead singles, "The Sound of Rain" and "Much As The Time (We Loved Each Other)."

Yoon made it clear that the songs in his new solo album are not about a girl or any past relationships. He said now that it is autumn, people would listen to mellow tunes rather than rock songs. He added that he took inspiration from stories that his friends shared, movies he watched, and books that he read.

During the showcase, the singer revealed that he's still looking for other opportunities elsewhere, and that he would be heading to the U.S. in December to expand his music career outside of Korea.

Earlier this year, YB debuted in the U.K. and U.S. with the single "Cigarette Girl." This song is local folk singer Song Chang-sik's hit track back in the 1980s, and YB covered it in 1999.

Their English version of "Cigarette Girl" was internationally released last Feb. 18, after they signed a contract with Goldstein. This song is marked as the band's first international release under an agency outside Korea.

Before leaving for the States, Yoon still has to do 12 concerts throughout October at the Hakjeon Blue Theater in Seoul. His first show is scheduled on Oct. 2.

His English debut album that will be released around the end of February is managed by Doug Goldstein, "Guns N' Roses" former manager.
