It has a color-based touchscreen that comes with software from Autodesk. It also comes with free print-ready 3D models that allows users and beginners to start 3D building in no time.

With Dremel's new printing concept, personal users will have the option to either use the 3D printer by itself as a standalone, or connect it to their computers.

The company provides users with a user's manual and simple designing tools to help them acquaint themselves with the 3D printing process.

Users will have the ability to store their created 3D model designs internally up to 4 GB.

Based in Illinois, Dremel is known for its rotary power tools but is now the first major tool manufacturer to release a 3D printer specifically for the mass market.

"Today, makers are using Dremel tools to fine-tune and fix their 3D printed creations and have been asking us to introduce a 3D printer. We're proud to offer them the Idea Builder and we can't wait to watch them build what's next," said President John Kavanagh,

The newly released 3D printer costs US$1000.
