Mark "the Super Samoan" Hunt and Roy "Big Country" Nelson stole the show to make the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night in Japan a huge success.

Hunt and Nelson - the number six and number eight in the UFC heavyweight division, respectively - went toe-to-toe in the main event scheduled for five rounds.

However, with the way these two fought in their previous fights, fans and analysts did not see the fight going the distance.

Right at the start, tension was in the air; the kind that is present when a knockout could happen any second. The two fighters made their way slowly towards the center of the ring, feeling each other out and saving energy for future rounds.

However, it did not take long for them to throw hard leather at each other. Hunt would come in and throw uppercuts and string combinations, while Nelson looked to land that one big shot.

Hunt though, showed his supreme head movement and bobbing and weaving, avoiding Nelson's shots. When any of them would get caught, he would take it and move forward like nothing happened. This gave testament to their iron chins.

Both fighters also showcased new skills in the octagon, with Hunt throwing hard leg kicks at Nelson. Nelson on the other hand, went for a couple of takedowns. Neither of these fighters were known for these moves.

In the second round, Hunt went in for the kill.

Haymakers and strong hooks were thrown throughout the fight, often finding their mark but none significantly rocking the other.

In the three minute mark, Hunt had Nelson on the cage. He was peppering Nelson with jabs and keeping him at bay.

Hunt, though, found what he was looking for when Nelson ducked down, meeting the Samoan's uppercut to the chin. Hunt only watched on as Nelson fell to the canvas and the referee stopped the fight.

Hunt is only the second fighter to knockout Nelson after the latter's 30 professional fights.
