Users reported slow Wi-Fi on their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus running iOS 8 a few days after the new Apple phones were released. They also noticed shorter battery life, according to user forums on Apple Support Communities.

The new iPhones and iOs8, despite new features that excite Apple fans across the world, have slow Wi-Fi connections.

"Hi, I've got the same [Wi-Fi] problems since the ios8 upgrade. Hope they get this sorted quickly, £500.00 is a lot of money to pay for a door stop," one user said on the Apple forum.

A PC Mag tech writer, Chloe Albanesiu,s tested her own iPhone 6's connectivity and was dismayed by the results. Photos on Instagram and Twitter took a while to load and Safari was hanging, she noted.

Speed tests done on Ookla and AT&T's LTE apparently revealed varying results each time, with or without Wi-Fi.

Moreover, Apple products such as iPhone 5S, iPad mini with Retina display and iPad Air when upgraded to the new operating system show an awful Wi-Fi performance, users noticed.

"[Wi-Fi] connection seems to be intermittent with all devices updated to iOS 8," another user said in the forum.

Shorter battery life has also been widely reported on the Apple forums.

One user said his battery drained in four hours despite 100 percent battery charge and minimal usage, MacRumors noted on Monday.

Others echoed the same battery problems on other devices after upgrading to the latest operating system.

Users suggested restoring or rebooting the device, but this doesn't seem to work, especially when the backup is restored.

Aside from these two significant iOS 8 issues, users complained about other bugs. MacRumors said its threads on iPhone 6 and iOS 8 have reached 11 pages, with reports of app crashes and lags.

Faced with many complaints, Apple might soon update the iOS 8 to fix these bugs, particularly the Wi-Fi and battery issues. Until then, frustrated users will have to wait - and fume.
