Palestinian and Israeli representatives are scheduled to meet in Cairo, Egypt tomorrow to indirectly talk about a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and end the suffering of its residents.

The key issues include the opening of the borders in Israel, allowing the entry of building materials and humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Following a month of cease-fire, both sides are would also tackle the exchange of Palestinian detainees with the bodies of two dead Israeli soldiers, the restoration of Gaza's airport and the construction of a seaport in Gaza.

After almost two months of hostilities between both sides, which left 72 Israeli's dead and killed over 2,100 Palestinians, a cease-fire was reached in August, with scheduled talks to be held in order to settle unresolved problems.

The militant group Hamas, fought for the removal of a blockade in Gaza, which has trapped its residents and continuously weakened its economy.

Neither side has no wish to resume the killings, but analysts fear the cease-fire will not hold if issues remain unresolved.

Israel agreed to lift the blockade in two border crossings leading to Gaza, but demanded assurance that Hamas should guarantee that building materials that it will allow to pass through the border will not be used to build an underground tunnel.

Meanwhile, Fatah representatives, led by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, are set to meet with Hamas leaders to talk about other issues that the group wanted to bring up in the Cairo meeting.

Official from Hamas agreed that the border crossings into Gaza, including the proper allocation of donations toward the reconstruction of the region, will be monitored and controlled by the Palestinian government.

In April, the Palestinian Authority and the Hamas group reached an agreement to create a "unified government" that would rule Gaza.

However, the amount of power each party will have in governing the region remains to be settled.
