Ending of 'Line Walker' Will Depend on Viewers' Votes

Man Wai Hung, the producer of the TVB drama 'Line Walker', announced that the ending of the drama, whether it will be happy or tragic, will be based on votes from the audience.

TVB has been receiving a lot of criticisms for the poor quality endings of their dramas in the recent year. Alternate endings have also been aired in order to quell the anger of some viewers. In order to prevent such incidents from happening, Man, the producer of 'Line Walker' announced that the audience can choose which ending they'd like to see.

The choices given to the viewers are based on the walk-in scene in the first episode of the drama wherein Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam were being attacked by a large mob armed with weapons.

It was announced that a week from now, viewers will be given the chance to vote between two ending scenes: one where the characters played by Sheh and Lam will be together as lovers and another one which will set the two characters apart forever.

According to the producer of the drama, both scenes have already been filmed and it is only a matter of choice among the viewers which ending will be aired.

On previous reports, during the fourth week of 'Line Walker', the drama reached an average of 29 point in rating, but peaked at 33 points last September 19.

Satisfied with the results of the drama's ratings, Michael Miu is said to have treated his co-stars Elena Kong, Oscar Leung and Samantha Ko to dinner.

Miu stated that rating have been going up every week as the drama generates new topics of discussion among viewers, particularly the identity of the controversial undercover cop in the series.

As for the kind of ending he'd choose for the drama if it was up to him, the actor said that he personally likes tragic endings over happy ones, saying that it will leave a more lasting impression to the audience.
