"I was with Tina Fey the other day and I said we should do another 'Mean Girls,' like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating. That would be really funny," the 28-year-old actress said.

"People really love the movie: how do you top that?" and indeed, how does one top one of the greatest teen movies of all time? ABC Family's "Mean Girls 2" was an undeniable flop, and seems to be only remembered for its failure to live up to the first movie.

Fans are warned not to keep their hopes up, though, since Tina Fey once slammed rumors about a sequel.

The "Mean Girls" writer said, "We're going to see if there's any way to get everyone together, but not a movie, sadly. We're all past high school age."

"Mean Girls" recently hit its 10th anniversary just April this year. The 2004 flick has since gathered a cult following on various social media websites like Tumblr and Twitter.

The movie is so quotable that a lot of the phrases in it has been used in real life by the movie's fans, and more often than not, websites like BuzzFeed would release posts ranking the best "Mean Girls" quotes.

Some fashion merchandizers even emblazoned the famous "On Wednesdays, we wear pink" quote on pink t-shirts and tank tops.

Even Jonathan Bennett, who played Cady Heron's love interest, Aaron Samuels, quoted the teen flick in his Twitter bio which read, "I get it... My hair looks sexy pushed back."
