Li Ya Peng Gives Blessings to Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse

Chinese actor Li Ya Peng, the former husband of Faye Wong, has taken to Weibo to give his blessings to his ex-wife and Nicholas Tse's reconciliation, wishing her all the best in her new relationship.

The "Legend of the Condor Heroes" star, who had been quiet the whole time since news broke that Wong and Tse have reunited after 11 years of separation, has finally stated his reaction through a Weibo post last Wednesday, September 24.

In his Weibo post, the 43-year old actor wrote, "Be it staying by each other's side until death, being brave for each other, or fulfilling each other's wishes, there are many ways of expressing one's love, and every form should be blessed. To my child's mom, all the best!"

Li's post gained more than 140,000 likes and was shared by netizens for at least 100,000 times in only two hours.

The public praised the actor for being a gentleman toward his former wife and was even dubbed as 'the best ex-husband in China'. Some added in jest that maybe Li should get together with Nicholas Tse's former wife, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung.

Additionally, there has been a photo circulating around the web, which allegedly contained a letter that Li had written to Wong before they got a divorce last year.

The letter reportedly contained details of how the actor tried to save their marriage, but that Wong had already made a firm decision to file for divorce.

Li's supposed letter also reportedly narrated that Wong began to change a year prior to the divorce, and had drifted apart from him and their daughter, Li Yan.

In the letter, Li mentioned that their daughter told her aunt that Wong always cuddles with her cats, but doesn't do the same with their daughter.

Furthermore, the actor also wrote to Wong that if she feels as if Li is preventing her from being happy or marrying a second time, she should tell him and he will respect her decision.

Some netizens, however, doubted the authenticity of Li's alleged letter to his ex-wife because it was not signed, with some saying it may have been circulated merely to malign Wong.
