"The Simpsons" Paid Tribute to the late Joan Rivers in Season 26 Premiere

Because the fans centered on the killing of Krusty the Clown in "The Simpsons", they were not able to spot Joan Rivers being in the animated series as she was being paid a tribute during the premiere of Season 26.

Rivers have also worked with the producers of the series as she voiced the agent and former lover of Krusty the Clown back in an episode launched last 2011.

Executive producer Al Jean noted that when Joan did the skit, she was very sweet and that he even told her how his parents loved how funny Rivers was back in the 70s.

Jean noted that the episode was already created but since she passed away weeks after the final draft was already done, he decided they have to put her in the box because it would not be that hard for them especially because she has been on the show before.

But what part of the episode was she placed at if fans did not really wonder if it was Rivers or not? Well, Rivers is said to be in the group shot of people in, what they called as, "Jewish Heaven". This is where Krusty envisions his father, Rabbi Hyman Krustokfsi, who was among the star-studded celebs featured in the group shot.

Joan is in this box where it was labeled as "VIP section" when the camera pans from the group shot to a shot of Jesus and Rodney Dangerfield up there.

The scene was just a flicker of second and happened right after the dance scene where the pairs Albert Einstein, Golda Meir, Marx brothers Chico and Groucho, and another Marx brother Groucho together with Karl Marx were seen.

Rivers died on September 4 due to a cardiac arrest that has happened during a throat operation followed up by a biopsy she had no knowledge of.
