The body of missing Arkansas real estate agent Beverly Carter has been found in a shallow grave a day after the alleged murderer, Arron Lewis, was arrested.
Carter's body was found on Tuesday when authorities received a tip leading them 25 miles away from where Carter was last seen, police reported. 33-year-old Lewis is now charged with capital murder for the death of 49-year-old Carter.

Lewis, the alleged kidnapper and murderer, was arrested on Monday and detained at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility to be questioned by investigators. According to them, Lewis said that he did kidnap Carter but refused to reveal where Carter was.
According to reports, the suspect claimed he kidnapped Carter because she was working alone and was a rich broker.
However, Lewis denied the allegations that he killed her, claiming that another man named Trevor had a hand in the real estate agent's murder. The perpetrator further added that he had not seen Carter since the day he kidnapped her.
Authorities released a statement saying that they are not pursuing another suspect for the kidnapping and the murder of Carter. Trevor, whose last name was not released, was already brought in for questioning last Monday and police noted that they do not believe Trevor is in any way involved.
This isn't Lewis' first run-in with the law as he previously served six years in prison in Arkansas for felony theft of property charges but was out on parole after only serving two years.
An initial hearing was conducted on Tuesday and Lewis pleaded not guilty to the charges of kidnapping, capital murder, and four counts of a felon in possession of firearms.
Carter was reported missing on Thursday last week after her husband, Carl, became alarmed when she did not come home from showing a house near Little Rock.
