With the monumental loss the Kansas City Chiefs gave the New England Patriots at 41-14, thoughts come to mind of people as to whether or not the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era is coming to an end in the National Football League (NFL).

Never before has quarterback Brady looked so dismal, while coach Belichick's team looked so much in disarray.

The first half was all Chiefs, with two touchdowns from running back Jamaal Charles, and a field goal by Cairo Santos. Going into halftime, they led 17-0 and outgaining the Patriots by more than 200 yards, 303-96.

The Patriots on the other hand, averaged only 3.8 yards per play in the first quarter alone. This is the fewest within the league at this current season.

The third quarter saw more of the same, Charles and Santos doing work and getting points for the Chiefs.

With three minutes left in the third quarter, Tom Brady was finally able to throw a 44 yard pass to Brandon LeFall for the touchdown.

With 159 yards and two interceptions against the Chiefs, Belichick finally decided to take Brady out of the game.

With the Patriots' game in tatters, this gave the opportunity to second-round pick quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

He came in and pumped some much needed enthusiasm and life into the game, carrying his team and getting a touchdown with a 13 yard pass to Rob Gronkowski.

Brady is completing only 59 percent of his passes. Apart from the 791 yards he has thrown in four games, he has also only thrown four touchdowns this season.

He is the quarterback with the distinction of having the lowest yards per attempt.

While there is no doubt that the Brady-Belichick combination has the capability of coming back, the question still races to people's minds whether the era of the Patriots is done.
