Sentences will be staggered with Teresa Giudice serving first, so one of the infamous parents can be with the couple's four daughters.

The Giudices have been the focus of many of the hit realty show's weekly tribulations to be sure. However, in this case, tribulations turned to real-life trials for hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors, filing fraudulent loan applications and flat-out lying to federal tax collectors.

While sentencing the male end of the infamous duo, Salas admonished him for lying even while providing asset lists for his pre-sentencing report. He didn't include all the vehicles the couple owned, the judge said.

Salas did give Giudice some credit though for helping Hurricane Sandy victims after they were wiped out by the storm.

The fabulous "Real Housewives" couple pleaded guilty previously at Newark, N.J. federal court to a variety of fraud and tax evasion charges including submitting bogus information to obtain around $5 million in construction and mortgage loans.

The couple pled guilty to wire and mail fraud along with three separate bankruptcy fraud schemes. Joe Giudice also pled guilty to failing to file taxes between 2004 to 2008 involving $1 million in income.

The "Real Housewives" franchise also involving shows in New York, Orange County, Hollywood, Atlanta and other places, is notorious for it's over-the-top histrionics often staged at lavish parties and exotic locales along with epic shopping and spending escapades.

Bravo Network hasn't commented on its star sentencing.
