Recently retired All-Star big man Zydrunas Ilgauskas is reportedly considering a comeback with the Cleveland Cavaliers for another shot at NBA title with LeBron James, ESPN Cleveland radio reporter Tom Rizzo said on his show.

Ilgauskas, who saw his number no.11 jersey hanged into the rafters of the Quicken' Loans Arena last year, might be planning to come out of retirement and play with his buddy LeBron for the championship-hungry Cavaliers.

Rizzo, an anchor of an ESPN radio show, believed Ilgauskas playing competitive basketball again is not much of a stretch, considering the Cavaliers are currently in need of a player who can beef up their interior.

With Cleveland still in search for a rim-protector, Rizzo thinks the Big Z can still play 10 to 15 minutes per game and provide good numbers on both ends of the floor.

"@TheRealTRizzo: Zydrunas Ilgauskas is attempting a comeback to the NBA. #Cavs Listen to The Really Big Show," according to Rizzo.

Ilgauskas' camp immediately poured cold water on the rumors before it spreads like wild fire, stressing the Lithuanian big man has no intentions to come out of his retirement and play ball again at high level.

Aside from Big Z's comeback, there are also rumors circulating that Tristan Thompson is being considered to start over Anderson Verajao next season mainly because he's better shotblocker than the Brazilian big man.

News-Herald writer Bon Finnan brought up this idea in his latest column, saying Thompson as a starting center would be a wise decision as it keep the youngster development and prevent another season-ending injury to Verajao.

"The Cavaliers are at least toying with the idea of starting Tristan Thompson at center. If they do, they must feel his athleticism will overshadow the size discrepancy he would face almost every night," according to NBA insider.
