With the gravity of the scandal reverberating throughout Hollywood, the 67-year-old's career is starting to suffer from the setback.

While Collins became a household name as the fatherly pastor in 7th Heaven, fans are now taking a look at his image the other way around.

TMZ managed to grab a copy of the audio conversion with his ex-wife Faye Grant where he was talking about three instances of child molestation.

Collins and Grant have been undergoing divorce proceeding since 2012 to end their 27 years of marriage.

The tape revealed Collins talking to Grant and to a therapist about "exposing" himself to a teenage girl. He said that he started exposing himself when she was 11 and went on until she was "12 and 13." The girl is even alleged as a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman.

He revealed that while no conversation happened between the two, although "there one moment of touching," he revealed, "where her hand, I put her hand on my penis."

Collins never had an idea that the conversation between him, his wife and the therapist was being recorded.

Grant was believed to have done the recording as an evidence for possible felony. Furthermore, it could also serve as an evidence for molesting a child under the age of 14.

Grant, meanwhile, announced that he was not responsible for the release of the recording and even stated that she actually "handed over [the audio] to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation."

An investigation is already being conducted by the New York Police Department.

Grant, furthermore, revealed that Collins was using his celebrity image to abuse children.

"I believe that Stephen used his celebrity status to engender the trust of the families of the children he molested," Grant claims.

"I further believe that there have been other victims, but he has thus far only confessed to those three girls," she continued.

These revelations have already affected Collins career. He has been fired from his small role in Ted 2 and he was forced to resign his position on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild. UP TV also cancelled reruns of 7th Heaven
