Minaj then started to talk about starting a family and settling down. She said she does not want to work her whole life without experiencing "the joys of a family". The 31-year-old added that she would like to take a long break in her career and dedicate all her time and herself once she will be having a child.

Nicki noted that the idea of having a family was inspired by Beyonce. She said that when she was one of the surprise guests of the couple during their "On The Run" tour, she noticed backstage that Bey's daughter, Blue Ivy, was there. The rapper noted that seeing Bey with Blue and Jay, Bey turned into this wifey material and a very caring mother.

She added that it was not impossible to be great on stage while being a great mom at the same time. She pressed she also wanted an "upright man" who would take care of her. Although she is still busy now, she said that the time will come that she will be able to find the right one and start a family.

Nicki also talked about building her own empire. She said, "I want to build my empire. In my field, I have always seen men do it-from Diddy to Dr. Dre to Jay Z. Now it's a woman's turn." She noted that no one took her seriously when she was promoting her album "Pink Print" as female rappers are mostly linked to the choir.

Nicki was photographed wearing sophisticated menswear and rocked a bob hairstyle in the photoshoot of the magazine.
