Miami Heat Loses Fourth Consecutive Preseason Game Against Atlanta

Defending Eastern Conference Division champions Miami Heat has yet to win a preseason game as they lost 109-103 against the Atlanta Hawks, their fourth consecutive loss in four outings on Tuesday.

Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh combined for a total of 38 points in the Heat's loss against Atlanta as Paul Millsap led the Hawks in a come from behind victory.

Atlanta was trailing in the first half 45-52 but had a remarkable third quarter, scoring 43 points compared to the 18 of Miami.

"It's building right now for this group," Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Our process, right now, is to get our system down. We're pecking away, making some steps forward."

"It's still preseason. Coach is trying a lot of different things," point guard Norris Cole said. "And we're open, receptive to what he's trying to do. We understand that in order to win, you have to have different combinations of players that can make plays out there and can play together."

Kyle Korver was the man in the second half as he made five three-pointers including a back-to-back trey that tied the ball game at 57-all.

Millsap led the charge with 23 points and five rebounds while guard Korver contributed 17 points and five assists.

Miami had six players in double digits with Bosh leading the squad burying 22 points and pulling down nine boards.

Wade dished out five assists and contributed 16 points while Shabazz Napier scored 12 points.

Danny Granger started out for Miami in the forward position as Josh McRoberts is still sidelined after an offseason toe surgery. He was able to contribute 11 points and a couple of rebounds.

James Ennis and Shannon Brown both finished with 10 points for the Heat.

This is Atlanta's second win in three outings, losing against the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday.

The Heat will play the Golden State Warriors next who has yet to lose a preseason game.
