After another event that has rocketed Jameis Winston's name to the front of the headlines, the quarterback from Florida State University is on the receiving end of an unprecedented amount of hate that is affecting his future.

Winston is currently part of an investigation over the signing of autographs in exchange of money. Receiving money for much anything in college sports is an illegal act. He was also part of an alleged sexual assault case.

After the initial on-set of these debacles, Winston has become the most rooted-against player in the sport. Writer Pat Forde, of Yahoo Sports, even goes so far as to say that he is the most-rooted against player, ever.

Fellow athletes like Johnny Manziel and Cam Newton received some hate from fans which vanished in months. Even Tim Tebow had haters, but still had his fan base in the Fighting Irish.

Winston on the other hand is reviled by opposing team's fans and his own fan base as well.

All of this controversy is wearing on Winston's potential career. It is reported that scouts and front-office people from the National Football League (NFL) are backing away.

According to an ESPN SportsNation poll that asked fans whether or not they would want their favorite team to draft Winston, a resounding 75 percent voted against it.

Even the Heisman voters have discarded Winston, who won the trophy in the previous year. 11 players received votes, included Todd Gurley - who was also suspended due to signing autographs for money - and Tevin Coleman, who plays for a winless team.

However Winston, quarterback of the number two-ranked unbeaten team in the country, and who ranks 10th in the nation in terms of passing yards per game and 12th in efficiency, has received no votes.

Winston is 18-0 as a starter in his college football career. Fans are just waiting for the moment for the left shoe to drop, and the first loss of Winston to be recorded.

Only time will tell if everything happening will serve as fuel for Winston, or will eventually bring him down.
