Anderson Silva would be honored to walk to the ring of his upcoming fight with hiphop superstar DMX.

The spectacle of ring entrances is not a new phenomenon. Apart from the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Floyd Mayweather Jr., has made his entrances something special for fans to see.

Often times, he would have his favorite musicians accompany him to the ring.

Before 50 Cent insulted Mayweather and challenged him to a reading competition, he used to walk the undefeated boxer to the ring. Recently, Lil' Wayne and Justin Bieber had that privilege.

The sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has known no such spectacle.

Apart from an entrance of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight, James Te Huna, who dressed up as a Men in Black (MIB) agent, no one gives much important to ring entrances.

This may all change with Anderson Silva's upcoming fight. For most of his career, Silva has been loyal to only one entrance song, DMX's "No Sunshine." It has become his staple entrance song for the UFC.

Silva said that it would be an honor to have DMX by his side as he entered the octagon.

"It would be something we've never seen. The guy coming in singing my song? Oh my God, my legs would be shaking! That walkout, your legs shake, you have no idea. You always feel like walking backwards, but it would be cool," Silva said.

This walkout could be one of the most spectacular entrances that MMA has ever seen. Couple that with Silva' return fight against Nick Diaz on January 31, UFC 183, and it could all be building up to be an unforgettable night.
