While many of her contemporaries have been trying to prevent age from showing on their faces (just think of Renee Zellweger), award-winning actress Julia Roberts opts to age gracefully, even if it means risking her career.

Julia Roberts managed to rise above the issue over the pressures on the need to stay young looking to stay on top.

The 46-year-old Oscar winner claimed that she may have risked her career because she never made facelift an option, the Guardian can tell http://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/oct/27/julia-roberts-risked-career-cosmetic-surgery.

Despite this, the actress, who won the Oscar for her role as the single mother in Erin Brockovich (2000), was handpicked by Lancome as its beauty ambassador.

"By Hollywood standards, I guess I've already taken a big risk in not having had a facelift," she said in an interview with You magazine.

The actress explained that she doesn't want to imbue that youthful image, rather, she'd want to be known as an "ageing model."

"But I've told Lancome that I want to be an ageing model - so they have to keep me for at least five more years until I'm over 50," she explained.

Roberts' comments came after 45-year-old Renée Zellweger's new look was bombarded with criticism.

Roberts revealed that she has already found peace by "studying yoga on a more conscious level" and eliminating the things that she considers as the clutters of her life.

"It's about non-grasping, non-hoarding, cleaning out your closet, dusting out your mind and letting go of the things that weigh you down mentally and emotionally," she said.

"There's a lightness to my life now - an airy quality of not taking things too seriously. That's happiness," she continued.
