Ian McKellen Appears in George Ezra's 'Listen to the Man' Music Video

Legendary actor Sir Ian McKellen makes an appearance in English singer-songwriter George Ezra's new music video for his song "Listen to the Man," released recently.

In the new music video for "Listen to the Man," Ezra can be seen sitting on a green bench on a stage which was set-up to look like a bus stop with a matching fake backdrop of vast planes.

On the first few bars of the song, McKellen suddenly appears and joins him, sitting leisurely while he sported a cream fedora accentuated with a pink band and matching square pocket on his dark-hued jacket.

In the video, the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" star, who plays Magneto in the film, is supposed to have only been invited to help perform a few lines of the song. However, as the plot of the video progresses, he would soon appear to love his role a little too much for Ezra's liking.

McKellen, who also stars in "The Lord of the Rings" as Gandalf, lip-syncs to Ezra's song and even dances around on set, gets to play a gong and drink cocktail which was brought for him. The video is then cut halfway in order to give room for a conversation between the actor and the singer.

Ezra would appear to be complaining to the actor for interrupting and, apparently, outshining him, too, saying, "I'm trying to shoot a video for my song," but gets interrupted by the actor who introduces himself, saying, "McKellen," as he was trying to explain things to him.

Their exchange in the middle of the video is said to be rather comedic with McKellen saying, "I think I sing it rather well," to which Ezra responds, "Debatable."

In the end, McKellen and Ezra agree to make a musical tandem and the music video ends happily.

On the other hand, Ezra, who has been interviewed for the promotion of his new music video, stated that he has been nervous about working with McKellen, saying, "It was nerve-racking trying to act beside him."

"Listen to the Man" is the latest song that the 21-year old singer has released from his debut album entitled "Wanted On Voyage."
