Boseman will be joining other diverse Marvel characters but his character will be very first "new" character to get his own standalone film, making him the very first African- American superhero to have one.

Marvel rumors have also been abuzz ever since speculation came out that Anthony Mackie will be replacing Chris Evans once his contract ends, Mackie is rumored to be taking over the shield as "Falcon" a character that was introduced in the last Captain America film, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

During the junket it was also announced that the studio will be releasing a standalone film for female superhero "Captain Marvel" in 2018. Unfortunately, any possibility of having a "Black Widow" standalone film was denied by Kevin Feige.

Feige was also asked if they are planning to hire an African- American director anytime soon and he answered "We're looking for the best directors possible" although, he mentioned that he will be meeting with "Black Panther" creator Reginald Huldin who is also a producer and director.
