Sorry, folks. Batman might be interested in crime-fighting, but he isn't too interested in the technology.

According to the Vancouver Sun and Hollywood Reporter, actor Christian Bale of "Batman" fame has dropped out of the upcoming Steve Jobs film.

The producing studio and Bale apparently never got past negotiations although screenwriter Aaron Sorkin had already announced on Bloomberg Television that the actor had already agreed to take on the role.

Sorkin stated, "We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale. It's an extremely difficult part and he's gonna crush it."

Bale's publicist has kept mum on the issue so far, but sources shared that Bale decided to forego the role to play the founder of Apple because he didn't feel that he was right for the part.

Before Bale was tapped for the role, Leonardo DiCaprio had turned down the role.

Last week, news came out that Seth Rogen is currently in talks with producers to play Steve Wozniak, Jobs' Apple co-founder.

The flick has been in the works since 2012, ever since Sony Pictures announced that Sorkin will be penning the screenplay.

Danny Boyle of "Slumdog Millionaire" fame will be directing the movie.

Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady will serve as producers.

The story is based on the 2011 bestselling book, "Steve Jobs", by Walter Isaacson.

Filming was scheduled to begin in the next few months, however, with the lead actor still missing from the cast, production might be temporarily put on hold.

Bale, on the other hand, is in negotiations with Fox to play Travis McGee in "The Deep Blue Goodbye".

Recently, a Steve Jobs biopic was released starring "Two and a Half Men" actor Ashton Kutcher. The film, entitled "Jobs," did not fare well with critics.
