With the release of remastered "Grand Theft Auto 5" coming Nov. 18, "GTA" enthusiasts are still wondering when the highly anticipated Heists DLC will come to online gameplay.

There were rumors circulating about a Heists DLC being released for next-gen consoles with the release of the remastered "GTA 5" on Nov. 18, but according to an announcement from Rockstar's official website, fans will have to endure the wait a little longer.

According to the Rockstar report, Heists are currently in development and the DLC is still coming to GTA Online. However, it could be much later than anyone anticipated, as Rockstar mentioned to look toward the New Year.

"We are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more details in the New Year," Rockstar said in its website.

Rockstar had originally promised Heists coming to GTA online as early as the spring, but was later turned into a promise of "sometime this year." Now that promise appears to have been delayed again with all the hours and effort that were put into the remastered "GTA 5" including a brand new First-Person Mode soon to be released.

The reason why a Heists DLC has been the most anticipated update since the game's launch is because of the high amount of cash gamers receive when completing Heists missions. Gamers have a difficult time trying to make millions of in-game cash, but will become much easier once Heists come to GTA Online.

Although not much information has been announced describing what the Heists DLC will consist of (other than Heists missions), last month YouTube's "DomisLive" came across an image of a Thermite Bomb that was leaked by Rockstar in the Weapons menu - leading many to speculate the bomb will be released with Heists and will be used when opening safes or blowing holes in walls.
