NBA: Rockets Considered Best Team in the League, Cavaliers Still Struggling

The Rockets remained undefeated with a 5-0 record last night, as they were able to get the win over the hot-shooting Miami Heat - leading analysts to praise Houston's early perfect start to the season. However, more logical fans around the league aren't buying into the hype surrounding the Rockets just yet.

While the team's perfect record is certainly something to consider, the teams they faced in these early five games must also be considered. Before the game against the LeBron-less Heat, Rockets have faced Lakers, Jazz, Celtics and Sixers - all teams that are projected to be at the bottom of the league by the end of the season.

Rockets holding the Heat to just 91 points was impressive nonetheless considering Miami has been averaging over 109 points in their first three wins leading up to last night. But the true test for the Rockets will be during their next game, as they face the defending champions San Antonio Spurs.

It's also worth noting that the new super team of the East, Cleveland Cavaliers, is still trying to find a way to mesh together and gain chemistry, as evident in their loss against the Blazers shooting just 37 percent from the field. LeBron and his new Big Three are now 1-2.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had even worse luck Tuesday night suffering yet another injury to their roster. Perry Jones III limped to the locker room after banging knees with Raptors' Patrick Patterson, which now leaves the Thunder with just seven healthy players.

Furthermore, Reggie Jackson - who wouldn't even be on the court if Russell Westbrook were healthy - re-tweaked his ankle later on and had to come out of the game at some point. Needless to say, it's getting close to panic time for OKC.
