Two Princes and a Wedding in Memphis

It's not very often that a prince visits the United States for an unofficial function but on Saturday, two princes were in Memphis to attend a friend's wedding. What could top that?

British Princes William and Harry created quite a stir in Memphis, Tennessee as eager royal fans scrambled to line the road leading to the Memphis Hunt and Polo Club in order to catch a glimpse of the grandsons of the Queen of England.

The royal brothers were in Memphis to attend the wedding of their common friend Guy Pelly to Lizzy Wilson. Wilson's grandfather is the founder of the Holiday Inn Chain while Pelly is a nightclub owner in London.

News about the arrival of Prince William and Prince Harry spread like wildfire in the entire city of Memphis, sending fans to line the road leading to the wedding venue only to be frustrated to learn that the two princes had used a separate entry point.

"I'm a big Prince Harry Fan. I'm single and he's single so I thought I should let her see me while he's in Memphis," one local female said.

Around 200 guests, including the royal brothers, attended the wedding ceremony and the reception that followed, where live band played. Sources said Prince Harry was among those who were on the dance floor.

Prince Harry, who had recently ended his relationship with Cressida Bonas, was spotted early last week relaxing at a poolside in Miami, Floria where he reportedly met American actress Katie Cassidy.

Before the wedding day, the two princes, dressed in jeans, had barbecue at the Rendezvous, a popular restaurant in the city. But still, fans were not able to get closer to the brothers because of the security.

On Friday, the two royals paid a visit to Graceland, Elvis Presley's home in Memphis.
