Italian tennis player Daniele Bracciali has partially admitted to fixing matches during a hearing last week with the judicial authorities.

Investigator Roberto Di Martino told the Associated Press that he had admitted to a few things while he also denied a few others.

Bracciali along with his doubles partner Potito Starace face corruption accusations after several Internet conversations they had were printed to the Italian media three weeks ago. The conversations documented that they sold matches.

This was not the first charges that the two players had received. Bracciali and Starace were already two of five Italian tennis players who were suspended in 2007-2008 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) due to betting.

The other players include Alessio Di Mauro, Giorgio Galimberti, and Federico Luzzi. The suspensions ranged from six weeks to nine months.

The intercepted conversations are part of Di Martino's on-going investigations into several match fixing inquiries in the sport of professional soccer.

The roots of the investigation seem to be planted in Singapore, while the Tennis branch is extending beyond those border.

"The reality is it's the same story as with the football case," Di Martino said. "It's reached a level where it's all over the world."

As much as 100 people have been placed under investigation due to the Last Bet operations. The suspect soccer matches are being looked at by prosecutors in Cremona, Bari, and Naples.

There have also been reports that Swedish tennis player Tomas Nydahl - a 46-year old former player who reached a career-high ranking of 72nd in the world - was also under investigation.

However, Di Martino neither confirmed nor denied these reports.

Di Martino did state though that no other tennis players have been placed under investigation.
