Actor Joshua Jackson has revealed that he likes calling his girlfriend of eight years, actress Diane Kruger, his wife.

The actor previously admitted that marriage seems highly unlike for him and his German girlfriend, but he does not like referring to her as his girlfriend because they have been together for so long. He says "There isn't a term between a girlfriend and wife, life partner sounds so depressing. We've been together for so long, I call her my wife."

In fact, the 36-year old is very excited to spend the rest of his life with the 38-year old beauty and he makes sure that he does not take her for granted. 

In an interview with US weekly Jackson was quoted saying "The times we had gotten in trouble and fought are when we've gotten complacent. I realized that if you are patient enough, those moments will end up rewarding you and your relationship."

When asked about why he and Kruger have no plans on getting married, the actor said "I can tell you why we are not married; we are not religious people and I do not feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood at the altar with her and having a giant party after." 

Jackson also revealed that both he and the actress were children of divorce "Diane and I are both children of divorce so it's hard for both of us to take marriage at a face value. It may change at some point, we may get married, but it's definitely not in the near future."
