(Photo : Reuters) LG has beat everyone to the punch, by announcing the LG G3 will get Android 5 Lollipop by the end of next week.

The official LG blog in Poland released teaser screenshots of the G3 running the new Android 5.0 Lollipop and a new set was also released from Vietnam's assembly factories.

LG's minimalistic and flat UI matches well with the new Android Lollipop Material Design. G3 retained its interface while functionalities were new and improved. LG promised to release the update on the G3 flagship before 2014 ends and the company appears bent on delivering its promise. The Korean manufacturer will likely release the latest Android LG G3 treatment in the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, Motorola is one of the first manufacturers that confirmed which Moto devices will receive Android 5.0.

Here is an update status and information about the Motorola flagship handset. In 2013, Motorola quickly issued Android 4.4 KitKat for its flagship, Moto X, and it was the first smartphone to get the update even ahead of the Nexus 4. It seems Motorola will be just as fast to update its 2014 flagship this time around.

The Moto X has KitKat connection bars instead of Lollipop icons in the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6.

It's only a test build, however, and changes are still likely. In 2013, the Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade had old GSP icons which were updated to new ones later on through an over-the-air release.

There will be new camera features and the phone screen can be cast onto a television this time.
